Obtaining Your Fire Equipment Dealer License or Permits

We don't currently offer the initial licensing course for fire equipment dealers or permittees. You can find information on obtaining your license here:

Obtaining Your Fire Protection Contractor License

To receive your license as a Fire Protection Contractor, you'll need to complete an application package issued by the State Fire Marshal (available at the link below). After you are approved, you need to schedule an exam with Pearson Vue.

The exam is a 100 question, 2 ½ hour, open book, multiple choice exam. We don't currently offer a course to help prepare you for the exam, but there are some great organizations and schools across Florida that are available.

Obtaining Your Water Based Inspector Permit

To become a Water Based Inspector Permit, you must receive your NICET or ACE certification.
